Empowering Protective Parents
The Holding Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created by survivors of domestic abuse and is dedicated to supporting families navigating the complexities of coercive control.
Healing Through Hope
The Holding Hope Foundation was created to empower protective parents impacted by coercive control. Our first scholarship program will provide access to the transformative Protective Parenting Program developed by Dr. Christine Cocchiola of the Coercive Control Institute. These scholarships offer protective parents the access to the tools, education, and resources they need to rebuild safety, resilience, and hope for their families by removing financial barriers.
Co-parenting with a coercive controller is one of the most isolating and difficult challenges a protective parent will face. They create a dynamic of confusion, fear, and mistrust which erodes the protective parent’s bond with their children. With the right tools and support, protective parents can preserve and strengthen their connection, ensuring that their child feels deeply loved, safe, and understood. The Holding Hope Foundation was created to provide access to this critical support and guidance and to show protective parents that in the face of manipulation and unpredictability, hope remains.
At the Holding Hope Foundation, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a safe, loving and nurturing environment free from the damaging effects of coercive control.

Our Core Values
- Compassion: We understand the unique challenges faced by families impacted by coercive control. We offer support, empathy and understanding.
- Empowerment: We empower protective parents by providing them with the tools, knowledge, skills, and resources they need to protect their children and rebuild their lives.
- Hope: We believe in the strength and resilience of protective parents and the power of hope.
Invest in Hope
Your generous donations provide critical scholarships for protective parents to access the Protective Parenting Program.
When you donate to the Holding Hope Foundation, you are giving the gift of healing and empowerment to families impacted by coercive control. Your contribution directly helps protective parents gain access to the life-changing Protective Parenting Program, a resource that will equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to foster a stronger, more secure bond with their children.
Oftentimes victims of domestic abuse are financially compromised which greatly limits their ability to secure critical resources. Our scholarships make this transformative program accessible to parents who may otherwise face financial barriers. By removing financial obstacles, we empower parents to:
- Understand the dynamics of coercive control
- Develop strategies to protect themselves and their children
- Build resilience and emotional well-being
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for their children to thrive
Every dollar you donate represents hope, resilience, and empowerment for families in need. Together, we can support protective parents and build a future defined by love and safety.
